Tree on a Hill / Pren ar y Bryn

The music from the Original TV Series, Pren Ar Y Bryn / Tree On A Hill has been created by a seasoned team of fellow composers, Tic Ashfield, Sam Barnes and John Hardy, under the collective name of John Hardy Music.

The music has attempted to relate to the distinctive ‘world’ of the community within the series, evoking the town, and the lived experience of its inhabitants and their hopes and fears. The musicians were urged to work with acoustic, ancient and found instruments to help to establish a sound-world that would be distinctive, and as unlike conventional drama scoring as possible.
